The Way of the Gun

Director: Christopher McQuarrie

Released: 2000

Two drifters look for any money they can get their hands on, whether legal or illegal. After overhearing a conspiring conversation, they plot to kidnap a pregnant woman and hold her for ransom. When things explode uncontrollably in their attempt to kidnap her, they go on the run. They start to question their own morals, and whether or not to continue running, or face their assailants. It is a mix of Quentin Tarantino goodness mixed with some wild west tension, in a modern setting. With great, yet cold, performances from Benicio Del Toro and James Caan, and a story full of double crossing, with unique anti-heroes, this is a truly underrated gem.
