Suspiria

Director:Dario Argento

Released: 1977

‘Suspiria’ is an excellent Italian horror movie about a young woman who attends a ballet academy, only to discover that the school is a front for a coven of witches responsible for a series of murders in the area. While not the most original or enticing premise on paper, ‘Suspiria’ boast lavish set design, beautiful cinematography and arguably(definitely) the best movie soundtrack of all time. The film belongs to a horror sub-genre known as giallo and could be considered its most important movie.

Other notable, similar films are Dario Argento’s ‘Deep Red (Profondo Rosso)’ and Lucio Fulci’s ‘The Beyond’.
