Mad Max

Director: George Miller

Released: 1979

In Mel Gibson’s acting debut, he plays a highway patrolman in a vast desert ravaged by bandits and criminals. He is the best of his kind as he pushes the limit of what is humanly possible behind the wheel of a car. It is the perfect example of a quiet, content type character that has seemed to have been in more movies as of recently. There is no cgi in any parts of the movie. All stunts were genuine and it gives the movie a great amount of tension. It is a true classic, the first in a trilogy of great movies.
